Day 3

I love this photo for three reasons.

1. I love macro/micro (depending on which spectrum of the photo galaxy you're from... I'm personally a fan of BOTH Nikon and Canon, so it's really up to you). Taking close up shots always makes me happy. There's so much detail that can just be lost in a zoomed-out photo. Also, it tends to look neat. =) I'm a girl of simple pleasures when it comes to photography.

2. I love the dress I'm wearing. I got it at Forever21 for $20. It was an impulse buy, but totally worth it in my opinion. It's sort of a tank dress with some ruffles, but the color and the dots are what got me. It's a bright, but not overly bright, blue. It's just a color you don't see too often, and the color was what initially caught my eye. Besides, I'm a Penn State girl through and through, so perhaps I'm predisposed to like blue and white together...

3. My mom got me this ring. I had another one that was similar that I lost a few years ago, and this Christmas she bought me another. I wear it just about every day. It's one of those accessories that you may not realize you left behind that day, but as soon as you do, you flip out, remember it's safe on your dresser, and feel naked the rest of the day.

So I haven't been that great at keeping up with my 30 Day Photo Challenge, but here are some to look forward to in the next few days:
fun
bird
you
someone that inspires you

Day 2: Skyline

Tonight is my last night in State College for this semester. I'm really not ready to go. I like to think I would just need another few days to get myself ready to leave my second home, but I'd be fibbing. I love it here. I love the screwy weather, I love my friends, I love the buildings, I love it all. I'm excited to spend the summer at home, but it's sad to leave State College too. Can a person ever be ready to leave somewhere they love so much?

Day 1/30

Hey, blogosphere. Blogging seems like a summer kind of activity. So here I am, because...

I AM NOW A JUNIOR IN COLLEGE.

Uh, what?

Yes. Yes, I am. Half of my college career is over, and to be honest, I thought I would be a lot more upset. I'm pretty satisfied with college. I'm happy to be where I am, and I'm excited to see what's next for school. Well, not TOO excited... right now I'm pretty excited for summer.

My first summer project:

Day 1
I'm done with finals but will not be leaving to go home for a few days. I was hanging out and playing my new ukulele (!) when my wonderful boyfriend Tucker was studying hard and decided to come over to my dorm room and nap. He wasn't too excited about me taking pictures, but he embodied #1 so much I couldn't resist.
