Ms. Laura, Thrifting Extrodinaire

I have not seen enough of my oldest friend, Laura this summer. She's living about 20 minutes away, which is farther than she had been growing up, but that's no excuse, so we decided to have a sleepover!

Laura is a wonderful person. If I'm being irrational, she's the one to go to. She's my proverbial Ben & Jerry's and can put things in perspective and calm me down. She's also the one I go to when I'm happy, excited, sad, frustrated, or mellow. So all the time.

Thanks, Laura, for being such a wonderful friend. I love you!

Both being bloggers, we decided to have a little fun. We decided to style each other, have a little photo shoot, and then post about it! See Laura's creation, and see mine below.

Laura's blog is all about her thrifting adventures. I'm really not good at it, but it's so fun. Her closet is full of all kinds of interesting fabrics, patterns, textures, and accessories that mine lacks. We both have differing styles and visions for each other, but I think that's what makes it fun and unique.

When I think of vintage, it's really vintage. I'm not convinced that stuff from the '80s should  be considered vintage, but then again, I'm still the girl who thinks the '90s were a decade ago.

We grabbed the parasol as an accessory...
and later it became a necessity as we got caught in a summer storm!

Laura is an avid reader... it was only appropriate to include Pride and Prejudice in her shoot!

Classy broads.

Love you, girlie!
